I love summer reading programs. There is something genuinely wonderful about dedicating a piece of your summer to reading! And you get to do it with other people, all for free! It never ceases to amaze me.

For this swap, tell your partner about your library's summer reading program. What did you read? What was the theme? What was your favorite book(s)?

Along with the letter, send a library-themed item. It could be a promotional bookmark from the summer reading program, or just a bookmark that your library gave out in general, or it could be something book or library related. Some ideas include stickers, a note card, some note pages, a library book card, etc. Be creative and have fun!
