I have hosted this in my group, It's In The Cards, but I wanted to try hosting publicly as well. This swap is for those with at least ten tarot cards they are willing to part with, though it only requires three.

This swap is for something a bit different. You will be sending your partner a 3 card Past, Present, Future tarot reading, along with an interpretation of at least a couple sentences. This not supposed to be ultra serious or high pressure. You can bring a seasoned reader, or a person who has received at least 10 tarot cards in the mail for reasons unbeknownst to you. All cards can be from the same deck.

Here is the general premise of how to complete this swap. Adjust as needed.

1. Take the tarot cards you have available for trade**. You need at least 10. If you have a large selection, pick around 40 that are all suitable to send.

2. Shuffle and cut the deck. Then, from the top of the deck, take one card at a time and place it, face up, in a horizontal line from left to right for a total of 3 cards.

3. From left to right, this is the recipient's PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE. You will examine each card's appearance and the story they appear to tell in sequence. If you know the symbolism or meanings, use those. If not, who cares! You can even try it out by googling "name of card + meaning" and try combining the general impression of what you read.

4. Write a few sentences about what you see in your recipient's future. Please keep it lighthearted. Skill is not expected or required. But try to at least make it coherent. Nothing about death/illness and nothing too negative. Please also indicate what cards were pulled for past, present and future in a clear manner, perhaps as a list.

5. Make sure your username and swap name are on whatever paper/notecard/etc has the reading, and also on the outside of the envelope. YOU WILL BE SENDING THE 3 SELECTED CARDS ALONG WITH THE READING. Add appropriate postage and mail it off.
