Description:

I just found the Map Envelope Liner Generator ... it uses Google Maps to generate an envelope with a map image liner. It's fun to play with!

For this swap, you will:

  • visit the Map Envelope site

  • Enter your own address, any cool worldwide address of your choice, or go with one of the auto-generated envelopes (tip: refresh the page and it will automatically cycle through famous locations)

  • Then print and mail (along with a small note to your partner). You can use regular printer paper; but your envelope might hold-up a little better if you use cardstock (cardstock is not required, however)

  • If you like, you can fold the envelope so that the picture is on front of the envelope (instead of the lining) --- it's your choice. If you choose to have the image on the outside; please use a white label or something similar for the receiver's address so that the post office can easily identify it.

You will have 2 partners. This swap is US and Canada only. Anyone can feel free to host an International version if he/she likes.

Swap-bot erroneously assigned more than two partners for the MapEnvelope Swap (http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/57279). I have no idea why it did this ... as you can see from the swap details, I had the assigned partners set to "2"

PLEASE DO NOT SEND THIS SWAP OUT UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS FIXED. I have contacted Rachael about the error. I will email each of you again when I find out what can be done to fix it.

Just a heads up, I sent mine out the other day and they have been returned unmailable due to size. I will be re-sending mine along enclosed in another envelope. Please make sure you either resize these to fit mail standards or to enclose them inside another envelope :)

Sorry that you had a problem with mailing AshleyMargaret. I took mine to the post office (simply because I was maling some parcels that day) and the p.o. took mine.

Yeah, I don't know what the issue was with mine but I just wanted to forewarn people to make sure they're the appropriate size. Mine will still be going out though :) Just encased in a larger envelope!
