It turns out lots of us like zines AND ephemera so why not combine the two? We are making a mini-zine featuring ephemera from our lives. It should be on a 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper so you can make copies to send to **FIVE partners. If you have never made a mini zine... You can see a video I made for the library ages ago for instructions. I know it is called instant books, but I promise you that it is exactly the same thing as a mini-zine. I am not prescribing the exact way you should do this but all ephemera must be from real life, not from a scrapbooking store. You can use a flier and draw all over it for your zine. You can glue down every receipt you use in a week. You can collect business cards, stamps from mail you receive, detention notes your kid got, notes you took during a work meeting, your never ending to do lists. There are so many things in our lives that are so boring but tell their own story. Use this zine for a canvas of your story. To recap:
I check profiles before assigning partners, including swaps due, profile comments, and rating comments. I will angel this if I have to but I think it would be pretty boring to get the same zine from me twice! | |
