Valentine’s Day!! Hearts…Cupid…Lovers….CHOCOLATE!!! Ok, maybe I wouldn’t put chocolate on an altered CD…lol…but you get my point. In this swap you will create 1 altered CD for your partner, (and receive 1 altered CD), with a Valentine’s Day theme. You may embellish your altered CD in any way that you like. Keep in mind that your partner may display the altered CD that you make at work or at home, as I do my altered CD’s.

Valentine’s Day is, (do I have to say it??), February 14th, so we will end sign up for this swap on January 16, 2007, with a mail out date of February 1, 2007. This should allow plenty of time for your partner to receive their altered CD and then take it to work and show it off to all their envious co-workers!! LOL…ok, maybe I am the only one who does that. Anyway, if we mail on Feb. 1st, everyone should get theirs by the 14th.

So, go forth and alter CD’s, my faithful, crafty friends!! And have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

PS…for those who may be new, altered CD’s are those pesky CD’s we get in the mail from the Internet Providers that have only 3 letters in their name or are another name for Terra Firma (Mother Earth, if you will…get it, hehehe…) and then you decorate them. Great fun and you are using junk mail instead of throwing it away. Recycle, recycle, recycle!!! ;)

Turns out that I have AMD (age related macular degeneratin) and will have my first injection in my right eye tomorrow afternoon. Not sure what to expect, but if things don't get any worse, I should be able to handle this swap. Thanks for your kind words. Joan

I try so hard to follow directions and to be fair. What do I get in return? Nothing!!!! Last time I will enter a swap without checking everyone's stats first. How very sad. Joan.

Grandma, I never got my CD either! And it's from someone that NEVER has flaked out on me before...I have sent her messages and she hasn't replied...I finally had to rate her as a 1, until I get a CD, I cannot change it. How sad... susi

Susi ~ I'm guessing that the people who do not fulfill their commitments simply do not care that they are ruining their reputations. But, I'm noticing that "my word is my bond" is "too old-fashioned". Tragic.
