Amish Quilt Block

As requested in the forum, group members would like to see a monthly block swap. I would like to try this block swap as a monthly series, with a different color theme each month. It is an easy block and everyone has solid color fabric hanging around. By this time next year, we will have enough blocks to make a quilt. You don’t have to participate every month, it will be fun to have blocks all made by someone else to put together as a quilt.

For this swap, you will make your partner one block. The block will have two SOLID color fabrics (no prints allowed), one always being black and the other will change each month.

This month the swap will be Orange and Black.

Here is the pattern:
Amish Quilt Block Pattern

The following is the list of the months and color themes, in case you want to get started on making your blocks to swap.

October - Orange

November – Yellow

December – Red

January – Blue

February – Pink

March – Green

April – Purple

May - Peach

June – Gold

July – White

August - Aqua

September – Gray

You can start making your block ahead of time so I am going to make the date to ship quick after the sign up.

I am going to open this up to international because the envelop will not be very heavy and the cost should be low to mail an envelop. To keep the cost down, iron your block as flat as you can to make the envelop thin. (This does work!!)

******I hope we get lots to join, this will be a lot of fun!!!!
